Laura is the CEO and founder of Helaina. Helaina aims to be the first company to put human proteins into food. Through harnessing the power of precision fermentation, Laura and her team seek to create the glycoproteins found in breast milk to help enhance existing infant formula, and in the future open a whole new class of ingredients for food. Laura is also NYU’s youngest-ever adjunct professor in Food Science & Technology in 2017 and was featured in Forbes’ 30 under 30 list in 2022.
